Would It Be Alright to Feel Good, Now, About Relationships?
The sound of the Whitewater River feels mesmerizing, and here I sit, watching the sun descend, peaceful yet excited. Excited because I had some time with my nephews, who are old enough to be independent and fun, yet just young enough to still want to hang out with me and camp. Just old enough to whine about the ground being too hard (even with all the mats) and yet young enough to agree to do it again. To desire to continue the tradition of camping with Auntie Dawn yet still not find it fully satisfactory in all aspects.
As the eldest said in bits and pieces- the thunderstorm was too loud, the ground was too hard, there was no fan (and didn’t appreciate me telling him to use a piece of paper and fan himself :D). He was upset because there were consequences when he didn’t listen and because I wasn’t always on the same time schedule as he wanted.
And this is like any relationship, isn’t it? People making adjustments in the spaces and timelines of expectations and schedules. Sometimes with kids and work… or not. Finding mutually agreeable activities and playing together, sometimes playing on their own… or sometimes just creating conflict.
And The Answer Is…
Can we create a perfect relationship scenario? I am curious to know why you think there’s an answer (which there is, isn’t there?) And, we get to play together in a space of exploration for you to create the relationships you desire. I mean, it’s all about how emotionally reactive each person is to any given situation. How each mind interprets and translates the interactions we experience (or hope to and don’t.)
You know what I mean. Unmet expectations, whether vocalized or not, can create internal resentments, anger, hurt, disconnection, and a variety of other not-so-helpful relationship stuff. And people are changing all the time, so let’s create the vision that resonates with your heart.
Upcoming Opportunity
I’m super excited to share this opportunity with you. I’ve created a free, 5-day masterclass (about an hour per day) starting September 3rd. Recordings are available if you can’t make it live. And this is great stuff whether you are currently partnered or not. It’s really for anyone who wants to feel good in their interactions with others. Especially a primary relationship.
What if even one concept on one of the days was EXACTLY what you needed to shift everything?
Here’s the link. Let’s do this! You deserve amazingness.
With love,
Dawn
